Our sectioning comb is the perfect tool to apply your hair extensions. The tapered end is gentle on the scalp, yet makes the perfect section to apply your Band It™, Clip It™ or Tape It™ Hair Extensions.
The soft plastic bristles fan out to detangle and brush hair evenly.
We recommend using brushes designed specifically for hair extensions such as a wide-tooth comb, looped bristle, or a soft bristle brush. These won’t cause pulling, snagging, or damage to your wefts. Begin at the mid-shaft and brush downward. Move up the hair as you successfully detangle the mid-shaft to ends. TIP: Pick your hair up in a loose pony or braid before bed to avoid tangling.
Washing
For Clip-It and Band-It Extensions, we recommend only washing extensions If you feel they are becoming difficult to style as this is likely a sign that there is product build-up and they need to be washed. We recommend washing them after every 20 wears or twice a month.
For Tape-It extensions, we recommend washing them once to twice per week. Be sure to use your fingertips to wash well in between the rows of extensions. The less you wash your extensions the longer they will last.
Handle the extensions gently and do not rub them vigorously. Always be sure to rinse the extensions in cold water at the end to lock in moisture.
Products
We highly recommend using moisturizing sulfate-free and alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfates and alcohol tend make the extensions drier and more prone to tangling or matting. Prolonged use of these ingredients can affect the lifespan of your hair extensions.
Don’t overuse sticky products such as hair spray, oil, hair gel, or hair wax. They will likely clog up your extensions and again affect the lifespan.
Drying
For Clip-It and Band-It, place the hair on a towel and let air dry. If you must blow dry your hair, use a thermal protectant.
For Tape-It, towel dry your hair. If blow drying, use a thermal protectant.
Storing
Make sure you store your extensions in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight (like a closet, cabinet, or dresser drawer).
Always make sure your extensions are completely dry when storing them to prevent mold and other moisture issues.
