WHAT IS 100% CUTICLE ON REMY HUMAN HAIR?
100% cuticle on Remy human hair is the highest quality of extensions you can find. Remy means that the cuticle is still intact and facing the same direction. EXTENSIONS METHODS

WHAT HAIR EXTENSION APPLICATION METHODS DOES WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS® CARRY?
We currently carry three types of hair extensions:
- Clip In Extensions: Clip It™
- Hairband Extensions: Band It™
- Tape It Extensions: Tape It™

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TYPES OF HAIR EXTENSIONS THAT WICKED ROOTS™ OFFERS?
We currently offer three types of hair extensions:
- Clip It™: Clip in extensions
The Clip It Extension gives you an instant makeover with zero commitment. As the name implies, these hair extensions clip easily into your natural hair. Throw them in for a night of glam and take ‘em out when you’re done. Clip It™ is completely safe to wear every day and will help you achieve longer, fuller looks in a matter of minutes!

- Band It™: Hairband Extensions
The Band It Extension is perfect for beginners: you can apply it in minutes and remove it in seconds. Talk about low maintenance. This extension is comprised of an invisible band that attaches to a stretchy weft of hair. It lays on your head in a circular shape, resembling a halo, and is secured via two clips for a comfortable and secure fit.

- Tape In™: Tape-In Extensions
Tape-In Extensions are the most popular method in the industry. This semi-permanent method consists of small wefts of hair sealed together and applied to the hair using double sided tape. Two pieces are paired to create one complete extension, sealed together by the two tape tabs. The extensions lay flat against the head and create a seamless and natural transformation that lasts anywhere from 6-8 weeks. This method can be re-applied up to 3 times, totaling 6-8 months of wear. Please note, this is a professional method that must be applied by a professional hairstylist.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH TYPE OF EXTENSIONS I NEED?
Each type of extension method has its own unique characteristics and purposes. It’s important to consider somethings when deciding on an extension method.
- Purpose: are you interested in adding length, color, volume, or dimension? Or maybe a combination of all?
- Commitment level: are you willing to keep the extension in your hair for several hours at a time or for several weeks/months?
- Maintenance: How much time are you willing to put towards the maintenance of the hair extensions on a daily basis?
If you are looking for a long term semi-permanent solution and are willing to keep up with day to day maintenance, tape-in extensions are for you.
If you are looking for extensions for special occasions, or to elevate your weekend look here and there, Band-It or Clip-It will be your best friend.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF YOUR CLIP-IN EXTENSIONS?
Our Clip In Extensions have 7 individual wefts each made up of 3 layers of the best salon quality hair, providing more hair than our competitors. Our clip in extensions also come with silicone coated pressure sensitive clips, in order to preserve the integrity of your hair. These are small metal clips that bend in one direction to open, and then close when bent in the other. Our clips are small in size (1”), lightweight (.05 oz) and super easy to attach.

HOW DO YOU APPLY THE CLIP-IT EXTENSIONS?
To apply Clip It™, first section your hair where you would like to apply the extension. Then slide the “teeth side” of the clip into your hair and press on the outside edges of the clips until you hear or feel a small “pop” letting you know that the clip is closed and attached to your hair.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF YOUR BAND-IN EXTENSIONS?
Our Band It Extension is hands down the most customizable and comfortable hairband on the market. First off, the stretchable lace weft allows for a super comfortable fit on the head. The stretchable weft has 5 layers of the best salon quality 100% cuticle-on Remy human hair on it, providing excess volume of hair. We know that life is not one size fits all, so Band It™ comes with three lengths of invisible bands (7.5”, 8”, and 8.5”), which can be switched in and out with ease. These bands allow for a discreet look, rather than bunching on the sides that tends to be experienced with other brands.

HOW DO YOU APPLY THE BAND-IT EXTENSIONS?
To best apply the Band-It, visit our video gallery. To begin applying the band-it extension, measure an inch away from your hairline, and lift the top section of your hair into a top knot leaving that inch out of the pony. Apply the Band It over the top knot, with the invisible band laying in front of the top knot about an inch away from your hairline, and the weft laying on the back portion of your head. Once the Band-It is in place, secure it with the two clips, then release the top knot and style.

HOW DO YOU APPLY TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS?
Tape-In Extensions are a professional method that must be applied by a licensed hairstylist. Please visit our video gallery to view the tape-in application. Tape it™ can be applied by combining two pieces of extensions, with the client’s hair in between.

WHAT IS SINGLE SIDED TAPE?
Single Sided Tape is a piece of tape that only has adhesive on one side. This can be used for thinner hair, by using a piece of single sided tape instead of a second piece of extension. This adds less volume to the hair.

HOW MANY PACKS OF TAPE IT™ DO I NEED FOR A FULL HEAD OF HAIR?
This completely depends on your natural hair to begin with, as well as your desired outcome. If you have thin to medium density hair and are looking to add length/volume, you will likely need somewhere between 4-6 packs of Tape It™. If you have thick hair and are looking to add length/volume, you may need closer to 6+ packs. Each pack comes with 10 pieces per pack, making 5 double sided extensions or 10 single sided extensions.

HOW SHOULD I GO ABOUT CHOOSING THE RIGHT COLOR HAIR EXTENSIONS?
Choosing the right extension color is one of the most important parts of choosing the right hair Wicked Roots Hair Extensions®. First, take our Hair Quiz to help walk you through the process. Once you take our Hair Quiz, we have color swatches (Swatch It™) which you can use to match your hair directly before making your purchase. WILL WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS® DAMAGE MY HAIR?
Our hair extensions are safe and should not cause damage, so long as they are applied and cared for appropriately. However, it is important to consider if you are the right candidate for extensions. If you are experiencing active hair loss, extensions may not be the best option for you at this time. For thinner hair, Single Sided Tape may be a great option to reduce the amount of volume being added to your hair. If you have any questions or concerns with regards to whether your hair is eligible for extensions, we recommend speaking with your local stylist or reaching out to our service team.


DO I NEED TO BLEND THE WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
Wicked Roots Extensions come pre-tapered, which means they have the most natural look and blend seamlessly. Most clients don’t need much blending. With that being said, it always depends on your current hair and how it is currently styled before application as well as the desired look. At times, blending may be required. If so, we recommend you connect with your stylist.

MAINTENANCE

WHEN SHOULD I WASH MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
For tape-in extensions, we recommend washing twice per week, and for Clip-It and Band-It we recommend once every two to three wears.Hair extensions do not accumulate oils in the same manner that your natural hair does, so it is important to keep the extensions hydrated. We recommend washing your hair extensions periodically using our Wicked Roots Lather Jacket Shampoo and High Maintenance Hydrating Conditioner (you can purchase as a bundle!), as these products were specifically formulated for extensions.

HOW DO I WASH MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
For Tape-In Extensions, you should wash your hair like you normally would, however it is important to make sure that you get shampoo in-between each row of extensions. It may seem a bit tricky, but don’t be scared to get your fingers in-between each row, and then to wash out the shampoo as well. When conditioning, be sure to condition from mid-shaft to end, staying away from your roots and tape-tabs.

For Band-It and Clip-It, the best way to wash your extensions is by gathering all the hair strands together into one ponytail. Then run the ponytail under lukewarm water. Squirt a nickel size worth of Wicked Roots High Maintenance Hydrating Conditioner into your palm and work into a lather. Apply the conditioner to the hair thoroughly. Next, brush through the hair using the Wicked Roots Wide Tooth Comb to distribute the product evenly. Rinse the hair deeply and then let dry on a hanger.

HOW CAN I PREVENT MY EXTENSIONS FROM GETTING DRY AND TANGLED?
Utilizing our High Maintenance Conditioner as well as After Party Leave-In Conditioning Spray is key to preventing your hair from getting dry and tangled. Additionally, brushing your hair periodically throughout the day can help as well.

SHOULD I USE A COMB OR A BRUSH ON MY EXTENSIONS?
You can use either!

CAN I PERM MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
We do not recommend perming your Wicked Roots Hair Extension® as perms can be harsh on the hair and extensions.

HOW LONG WILL MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS® LAST?
Each method of hair extension lasts differently, based on use and care. Generally, Tape It™ lasts 4-6 months, and Clip It™ and Band It™ can last over 6 months, up to 2 years. The more maintenance you provide, the longer your extensions will last.

CAN I COLOR MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
Wicked Roots offers over 42 colors of extensions, and depending on the method select, you can mix and match to create the perfect shade. If you are unable to create the perfect shade, your stylist can deposit down 2-3 levels into Wicked Roots Hair Extensions®. Because Wicked Roots Hair Extensions® are 100% cuticle on Remy human hair, you or your stylist may color as you would your own hair. However, certain portions of the hair extension may not take any color (anything sealed with silicone, such as the top of the tape-in extensions), so please keep this in mind! Please know that depositing color will void the warranty, so we recommend being 100% sure that you want to do so! If you are going to do so, try depositing color to a few, discreet strands of hair on the extension before going all-in!
We absolutely do not recommend stripping or lifting Wicked Roots Hair Extensions® of color (bleach or lightening). We can not guarantee the outcome of this and it could dry out the extensions or possibly ruin it.

CAN I SLEEP IN MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
You will need to sleep in Tape It™, but we don't recommend sleeping in Clip It™ and Band It™ hair extensions.

CAN I SWIM IN MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
It is not recommended to swim in your Clip It™ and Band It™ hair extensions because they are not semi-permanent. The added weight of water may add extra stress onto the clips or invisible band, which may damage the integrity of the extension or your hair. They also will become more visible and less seamless in the water, which we know you do not want!
Tape It™ on the other hand, can be worn while swimming. Prior to swimming, we recommend spraying the ends of your tape-ins with water & Wicked Roots High Maintenance Hydrating Conditioner, to prevent discoloration from chlorine or minerals from the ocean. We recommend washing thoroughly after swimming to ensure that no residue is left in the hair from the water you were swimming in, which may cause problems.

CAN I ADD HEAT TO WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
Yes, however you should only apply heat to the hair and not the attachment site (ie. the tape-tab, clips, etc.) itself. Do not apply heat to the attachment site of the extensions (ie. the tape tab, clips, etc.).

CAN I CURL OR STRAIGHTEN WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
Yes!, Wicked Roots Hair Extensions® can be straightened, blow-dried, styled and curled. However, please do not use heat beyond 350 degrees fahrenheit and do not maintain heat on hair for an extended period of time. Also, do not apply heat to the attachment site of the extensions.

WHAT IF MY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS® ARE OUT-OF-STOCK?
While we try our hardest to avoid it, on occasion we may run out of stock. Unfortunately, we do not accept back-orders for any items. Please check back occasionally for updated availability.

WHERE CAN I BUY WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS®?
Wicked Roots™ can be purchased on our webstore. We do not have any authorized distributors.

WHERE CAN I GET WICKED ROOTS HAIR EXTENSIONS® APPLIED?
You can have Wicked Roots™ applied by your favorite certified stylist.

DOES WICKED ROOTS™ WORK WITH STYLISTS AND SALONS?
Wicked Roots™ loves our stylist and salon partners. While we offer direct to consumer hair extension products, we know that stylists are the backbone of the hair industry and we could not be successful without strong professional backing. SHIPPING/LOGISTICS/RETURNS

DO YOU SHIP TO PO BOXES?
Unfortunately we cannot ship to PO boxes.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO SHIP?
Orders placed by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday-Friday, are shipped the same day. We offer next day or two day shipping. No orders are shipped on weekends or US Holidays. Please note that any fraudulent high risk orders will be held until our team investigates further. Please make sure your billing and shipping information are correct and match your credit card. We offer order tracking tracking on all orders.

WHAT IF MY ORDER IS DELAYED OR LOST?
Delays tend to happen, especially in the current COVID and Global climate, so we always recommend placing your order in advance of when you need it in case any issues arise. In the event that your order seems to delayed or lost, please reach out to us. We will do our best to get in touch with the carrier and communicate with the third party vendor on your behalf. In the event that your package is lost by our third party logistics vendors when we ship it to you, then Wicked Roots™ will replace your product free of charge.

HOW CAN I INITIATE A RETURN?
You can initiate a return by reaching out to order@wickedrootshair.com and letting us know that you would like to return or exchange your products.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RETURN ONCE I RECEIVE THE PREPAID LABEL?
You must drop the package off at a local FEDEX store and retrieve a tracking number. If you do not receive a tracking number, we cannot be responsible nor provide any help in the event of the package getting delayed or lost.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Yes, we ship to many countries worldwide with verified tracking (with the exception of Italy, Spain, Brazil, and Egypt). Please note that flammable items cannot be shipped internationally, specifically including but not limited to our Hair Extension Removing Solvent. Shipping rates for vary for each country. We offer priority and economy shipping when shipping internationally for you to choose based off your needs. Note: free shipping is the slowest shipping option. Packages imported to your country may be subject to customs, taxes or other fees, and you will be responsible for all applicable customs, duties, taxes and fees charged by your government.

TRACKING MY ORDER
Once Wicked Roots™ has shipped your order, you will receive an 'Order Fulfilled’ e-mail which will include your tracking number and details on where your package can be tracked. Please allow a few hours for the tracking information to show. Please contact us at order@wickedrootshair.com if you have not received your order on time.

SHIPPING ISSUES
Packages can be returned to sender for various reasons:
- Incorrect Address
- Unclaimed Package
- Carrier cannot access address
- Too many failed delivery attempts
If your package has been returned to sender please contact our service team via email at order@wickedrootshair.com. If your package is received back to our warehouse without notice Wicked Roots™ will attempt to contact you at the contact information previously provided. If we cannot contact you, we will issue a refund and cancel the order.
