Go-To Holiday Party Hairstyles
‘Tis the season to decide what holiday and Christmas party hairstyles you want to rock this year! The weather’s getting colder, invites to holiday parties are being sent out, and Christmas music is playing everywhere. It’s a festive time that probably has you thinking about what you’re going to wear to your next holiday party.
If you’re looking for hair inspiration, you’re in the right place. We’re about to share our favorite holiday and Xmas party hairstyles that will light things up.
Christmas Party Hairstyles We’re Obsessed With Right Now
This holiday season, accessories are in. Here’s why: A fun and well-placed accessory is a gift to enhance your entire look! (Think headbands, scrunchies, and clips.)
Right now, we’re loving big clips. Blingy clips, pearl clips, matte clips, claw clips, shimmery clips, basically any accessory ending in C-L-I-P is a YES for us! Classy or sassy, hair clips work for straight and curly hair, hair with and without bangs, and even hair that’s hard to tame.

Christmas Party Hair Braids That Make You Want to Carol
Ok, maybe not exactly carol, but all eyes will be on you with a killer hairstyle at your Christmas party. If you haven’t thought about adding braids to your list of holiday hairstyles, what are you waiting for? We’re obsessed with braids – French braids, boxer braids, mini braids, and even a single fishtail braid. They’re stylish and can elevate any look.
Here’s one of our favorite braid looks by Wicked Roots Ambassador @ashleymariedickerson.
1) Start by applying your Wicked Roots Band It.
2) Then gather your hair up into a mid-high ponytail.
3) Divide the pony down the middle and create two braids.
4) Next, twist the two braids together and fasten them at the bottom with a hair tie.
5) Loosen some of the braid strands.
6) Finally, leave some face-framing layers out if you wish, or spray your hair back and add a clip or headband to finish off this look!
We know time is ticking until the new year, but we’re also living for timeless French braids as one of our favorite Christmas party hairstyles. Amp things up with festive scrunchies or even shiny tinsel woven into your braids!
Christmas-Colored Hair Extensions are a Total Holiday Vibe
Christmas-colored hair extensions are a sure-fire way to spice up your ‘do, spread some holiday cheer, and look super festive.
Whether you’re brave enough to dye those extensions red and green or not, hair extensions are a great addition to any look. DIY extensions like Clip It and Band It are the perfect holiday hair additions if you’re looking for more natural hairstyles for a Christmas Party. They’re easy to use and last for months’ worth of wears with proper maintenance. They also don’t damage your natural hair AND add major depth and volume.
If you want to purchase ethically sourced, salon-quality hair extensions you can pop in at home, explore our collection here. They’re all made with natural Remy human hair that blends so perfectly, no one will notice that Christmas party hair isn’t all yours!
